Kosmina happy despite defeat

Even though Adelaide United lost their home fixture against Wellington Phoenix by a margin of 2-1, their coach John Kosmina was happy with the way his troops played against the Kiwi club.

You've just got to battle your way through it.

The Reds are now on a six-match winless streak but Kosmina was still quite content in his post-match interview.
"They showed a ton of it (resilience) and that's a credit to them. After last week (3-0 loss to Perth Glory), they bounced back well.
"I thought we played enough decent football and showed enough ticker to win that game, but that's how it goes sometimes," Kosmina said.
Perth Glory are 1.72 to defeat Gold Coast United, who themselves are 4.50 to get the win.
He continued: "You've just got to battle your way through it. You're up and down through the course of the season and it's been a fairly torrid time for everybody.
"It's not like we're not creating chances. And the football's entertaining. In terms of character, that's what the fans love. It's what Adelaide's all about."

Kosmina hasn't been happy with his star midfielder Dario Vidosic's strength of character and he has spoken publicly about it in the past.
Their relationship with each other is quite cold and one big example of it came on Friday when Kosmina substituted Vidosic in the second period and that angered the star playmaker so much that he refused to shake hands with his manager.
"He started dropping off and not winning stuff in midfield or being available in midfield, so we tried to look at a different option," the Reds boss explained.
