Mavericks edge the Spurs

Jason Terry made two free throws to seal the victory as the Dallas Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 101-100 in overtime.
Seconds earlier Terry had given the Mavericks the lead on a jumper from the left side having also tied the game in regulation to force the extra period.
The veteran guard was 14-of-23 for the game and had a season-high 34 points as the Mavericks picked up their second straight. Dirk Nowitzki returned for Dallas after resting his knees and pulled down 13 boards to go with 10 points in 38 minutes of play.
The Mavericks are 7501.00 to win the NBA Championship this season while the Spurs can be backed at 2.70.

While Dallas leads the Southwest division, the New Orleans Hornets remain firmly anchored to the cellar as they were defeated 94-72 by the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Jeff Teague was 9-of-11 to lead Atlanta as the Hawks remain a half-game behind the Miami Heat.
Both LA clubs picked up road victories on Sunday. The Clippers travelled to the surprising Denver Nuggets and picked up a 109-105 win while the Lakers returned to the land of the franchise's birth, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 106-101 in Minneapolis.
