Danny Granger had 22 points and nine boards as the Indiana Pacers prevailed 95-90 over the Chicago Bulls.
Roy Hibbert added 20 as all five starters for the Pacers were in double figures. The five-point loss was the first of the year at home for the Bulls who were led by Derrick Rose?s 24 and double-doubles for Ronnie Brewer and Joakim Noah. However Chicago missed the presence of Luol Deng who is out indefinitely with a torn ligament in his wrist.

The Miami Heat moved a half game ahead of the idle Orlando Magic in the Southeast division with a 101-98 victory over the Pistons in Detroit. LeBron James led all scorers with 32 points and Chris Bosh chipped in with 27 more as the Heat proved too much for the struggling Pistons even without Dwyane Wade.

Linas kleiza came off the bench to score 25 points as the Toronto Raptors upset the Utah Jazz 111-106 in double overtime. The former Missouri star was 8-of-16 from the field including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. There was also a win for the Milwaukee Bucks who went into Houston and surprised the Rockets.
